Ryzen 9 4950X & Radeon RX 6900 XT Are Coming This October

A new journey begins for tech enthusiasts this October. Biggest launch in AMD’s history is awaiting gamers and professionals this fall. Surprisingly, after a month passed since Nvidia’s new Ampere GPUs announcement, AMD finally decided to reveal all cards. Double launch is expected in early October for Zen 3 architecture based Ryzen 4000 series Vermeer CPUs and RDNA 2.0 architecture baked Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs. So 8th of October date is given to Zen 3 CPU family official launch and next three weeks after is going to be RDNA 2.0 GPU family announcement which is on 28th of October.

Famous website Igorslab firmly revealed Ryzen 9 4950X processors existence through AMD’s OPN code decryption found inside the code compilation of BIOS UEFI files. Amazing revelations about boost clocks left some enthusiasts with jaw-dropping reactions. If leaks are true, a whopping 4.8 GHz frequency is expected from Ryzen 9 4950X 16 Core 32 Thread CPU. IPC (Instructions Per Cycle) improvements are still unknown since 7nm+ node might bring a refreshed performance.

At early September, Fortnite players have detected Easter egg within the gameplay after entering 6000 code then message tells “something is big coming to the AMD battle arena”. Obviously, 6000 number means 6th generation of Radeon cards after following 5000 series like RX 5700 XT. Many expect Big Navi GPU with full code name RX 6900XT because in the beginning of 2020 Eurasian economic commission has approved RX 6900 XT naming scheme for patent acquirement.

Should you wait for Big Navi launch, or just grab Nvidia’s Ampere RTX 3000 series GPUs this end of September?
