Ripple Partners with Sustainability Leaders to Reach Goals in Next Decade

Over the course of the past few days, energy efficient cryptocurrencies have become a hot topic of discussion following the tweet from Tesla founder Elon Musk regarding the environmental dangers of Bitcoin.

This past weekend, Ripple, which is associated with the cryptocurrency XRP, provided a snapshot of its environmental strategy. The company tweeted the link to a post on its official website. At a time when crypto investors and potential investors are becoming increasingly conscious about the environmental costs, it was perhaps a well-timed move from Ripple.

The biggest revelation from the post was that it wants to be net carbon zero by the time 2030 comes along. However, that is not all. The Fintech company also announced that it has teamed up with a range of sustainability leaders in order to achieve that target. It now remains to be seen if this announcement from Ripple has any effect on the price of XRP.
