MSI & Gigabyte RX 6800 XT & Non-XT Variants Leaked With 16GB GDDR6 Memory Before AMD’s Official Launch
Very fresh leaks of Radeon RX 6800 XT and Non-XT variants appeared online with 16GB GDDR6 memory. Specifically, MSI and Gigabyte were able to officially submit their new custom cooled GPUs from AMD to Eurasian Economic Commission to get permission for sale in those countries. Most interesting part here is that Gigabyte has revealed two flagship models including Aorus M and Gaming OC. At last, RDNA 2 architecture will be revealed in next coming hours by AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su.
Much to get surprised for AMD fans, Gigabyte also gives detailed naming for RX 6000 cards such as GV-R68XT-16GC-B, GV-R68XTAORUS M-16GC, GV-R68XTAORUS M-16GD, GV-R68XTGAMING OC-16GD, GV-R68XTGAMING-16GD, GV-R68AORUS M-16GD, GV-R68GAMING OC-16GD, GV-R68GAMING-16GD, GV-R68-16GC-B. Within these models you may notice AMD’s reference cooler design.
However, MSI did not submit their flagship and midrange cooler design naming but still MSI was able to register the reference cooler GPUs for now. All in all, it’s great to see AMD coming back to the top of their GPU market segment which is high end. Nevertheless, Nvidia is waiting on the top to see RX 6000 card’s raw power in order to battle for upcoming competition among pure 7nm transistor based GPUs since Nvidia might switch process node to TSMC’s wonder fabrication technology. Little bit time left for the official launch of AMD Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs, make sure you don’t miss it.
